A big thank you to our amazing team at Crouched Friars

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our whole team at Crouched Friars for their relentless hard work and dedication towards the home every day, but especially over the past few weeks.

Every day is different while working in care. While some days bring so much joy and gratification, others can be quite challenging.

Our care home is supported by a brilliant team of carers, kitchen staff, housekeepers, activities coordinators and maintenance staff.

“A big thank you to all the care staff at Crouched Friars for your relentless efforts to keep the home going – even during difficult times”

Since the start of the pandemic, now years ago, working in care has been turbulent. Throughout this time, our staff have been absolutely marvellous at covering each other and picking each other up. They have selflessly volunteered to pick up extra shifts, worked together as a team, and extended a helping hand whenever needed. Doing all of this so that our residents feel loved and cared for at all times.

When working in care, aside from having specific care training, it is quite important to be equipped with soft skills such as compassion, team spirit, patience, sensitivity, and so much more. These skills will help to carry you through difficult times.

At Crouched Friars, our team is unwavering in its dedication to our wonderful residents. We are a close-knit team, and no thank you note will ever be enough.

Our team never fails to remember why they are doing this job in the first place. Their care and dedication to our residents is truly incredible.

The team is able to stay calm and think rationally while also delivering incredible care under pressure. That is an invaluable skill.

We know that communication is key and, and the dialogue between our staff is second to none.

We know the value in understanding and supporting your fellow team members. At Crouched Friars we know that our team does exactly that, while celebrating the many beautiful things that come out of every day.
