Crouched Friars spring update!

As the flowers have started to bloom in our garden, the air is warmer and the sun has begun to shine, we are pleased to share some of the exciting springtime activities we have been up to at Crouched Friars Residential Home.

We have been organising our lovely garden, where we plant an array of herbs and vegetables which we are sure the residents will continue to love getting involved with as our crops spring into life.

We have especially enjoyed setting the outdoor seating up, propping our umbrellas out and enjoying some drinks in our garden. Spring really has sprung. The residents particularly enjoyed the sounds of our friendly, local birds and sunshine.

Everyone here at the home enjoyed wishing Sheila, our administrator, congratulations as she is May’s employee of the month! Sheila is fabulous and we all appreciate everything she does within the home, always with a smile on her face brightening everyones day.

We have had a few birthdays in the home recently, Barabara received a card from the Queen on her 100th birthday and the birthday celebrations did not stop there!

Everyone loves to celebrate birthdays at the home, not only for the tremendous amount of cake eating, but also for the laughter and present opening.

We are pleased to share that we have had new flooring laid down in our lounges which everyone seems to like, and they have made a lovely, fresh difference to our communal space.

At Crouched Friars residential home in Colchester, we know the importance of open communication, providing information and delivering excellent care to every single one of our residents.

We would be delighted to answer any questions that you may have around the care that we provide.

We’re also pleased to say that we are welcoming new residents!
