A big thank you from our residents for a wonderful Christmas

This Christmas, we partnered with a local charity in Essex to shower our residents with joy. And now, they have extended their thanks and well wishes to the community.

As part of their ‘Wishing Washing Line’ initiative, the FaNs network got together with the local community to deliver presents for care home residents just in time for Christmas. Our home manager, Paulina, sent residents’ wish lists over to the team at FaNs Network.

Residents also posed for a festive photoshoot with a Christmas tree, decked fireplace and lots of lights at our lovely home in Colchester.

Paulina said: “It was really special to see the community come together to give our residents such lovely presents this Christmas which they were so excited to receive.

“A special thanks to FaNs for the wonderful work they have done this Christmas and throughout the year. Our residents were thrilled!”

Tony Lee, community networks lead at FaNs said: “It’s always a pleasure to support care home residents across Essex. Crouched Friars has been an amazing partner for us since our inception.

“It was great to see the varied and diverse gift requests. We were delighted that the community came together to fulfil each one. We just wish we could have been there to see their faces when they got to open them.”

Earlier this year, the team at FaNs network helped residents Bernie and Sylvia fulfil their dreams of flying a plane and meeting their favourite singer, Tom Jones.
