Summer extravaganza at Crouched Friars: good food, good music, and good company

The sun was beaming down on Crouched Friars this year as we hosted our annual summer extravaganza and what a day it was! We had delicious food, our favourite tunes, lots of dancing and conversations. But most of all, heart warming moments that we’ll cherish forever.

Summer fun in the sun

The festivities kicked off outdoors, with our garden bathed in the warm summer sun and decorated with colourful banners and buntings. The aroma of sizzling barbeque filled the air as guests mingled and laughter filled the space.

Entertainer extraordinaire, Colin kept the party lively with his engaging performance, ensuring there were no dull moments. Meanwhile, team member Kerena surprised everyone by showcasing her hidden talent – some serious guitar skills!

Perhaps the most touching moment of the day was when our lovely resident Carol sang to us in her beautiful voice.

Everyone sang and danced, ate and drank together and made it a truly memorable day.

A huge thank you to our amazing team and community

We can’t thank our incredible team enough for their tireless efforts behind the scenes to make this year’s summer party a success. From the chefs who worked hard to deliver a delicious meal, including home made pizzas and a fantastic barbeque.

A special thanks to Leslie who made some lovely decorations for the day. And finally a big thank you to rest of the team who helped make it a memorable day.

We can’t thank our community enough, who always support us and make our events successful. This time we got so many donations for our raffle, thank you so much to all the families who contributed. And a big thank you to Coleman Butchers for supplying the meat for our BBQ!

A celebration of community

Our annual summer BBQ isn’t just about the festivities, it’s a celebration of the season and the lovely community we have at Crouched Friars. This year, our residents, their family members and friends and our team, all came together to celebrate summer and make lasting memories. It was a beautiful day and a testament to our amazing community.

Here’s to many more happy summer gatherings at Crouched Friars, filled with sunshine, smiles, and, of course, some truly delicious BBQ!

Through our summer party, we were able to raise funds that will be used for activities, treats, and more for our residents. Thank you to everyone who came and contributed!

At Crouched Friars, we strive to make our residents’ time with us as happy and joyful as possible. Keep updated with everything we get up to at our lovely home in Colchester by following us on Facebook.
