Valentine’s Day celebrations at Crouched Friars

Love was definitely in the air at Crouched Friars this Valentine’s Day – our day was filled with thoughtful touches and activities that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

Stepping into the common room was like stepping into a love nest. Heart-shaped balloons of every colour bobbed cheerfully from the ceiling, while rose petals and paper hearts in shades of red and pink scattered across the tables and windowsills.

For lunch, residents were treated to a special Valentine’s-themed feast.

Tables were beautifully adorned with red and white tablecloths. Each place setting boasted a single red rose – a small but meaningful gesture that resonated deeply with many. The aroma of a delicious roast filled the room. And to top it all off, every resident received a glass of bubbly that added to the celebrations.

But the celebrations didn’t stop there. Each resident also received a personalised box of chocolates. It was a delightful surprise that brought joy and a touch of sweetness to their day. Many residents also received cards and beautiful bouquets of flowers from loved ones.

Throughout the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, there was a flurry of crafting activities in the common room. Our residents created charming handmade Valentine’s cards with heartfelt messages for their loved ones. Later, they also got together to bake special cookies, which were shared and enjoyed together.

Valentine’s Day at Crouched Friars was a day filled with love, laughter, and heartwarming moments. The simple act of celebrating love in all its forms created a special atmosphere that resonated with everyone present. The day reminded us all of the importance of connection, appreciation, and the joy of sharing special moments with loved ones.
